Lonnie Wheatley, HANFORD, Cal. (May 21, 2011) – Bud Kaeding picked off his first American Sprint Car Series Southern California Regional win by racing to victory lane in Saturday night’s 30-lap main event at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway.
The triumph marked Kaeding’s third career winged ASCS feature win after sweeping a Rocky Mountain Region weekend at Dodge City in July of 2007.
Kaeding took Saturday night’s checkered flag in front of Ronnie Day, with Justin Sanders, current ASCS SoCal points leader Tommy Tarlton and Cory Eliason. Tommy Laliberte was sixth, with Nick Green, Steven Kent, Craig Smith and Kurt Nelson completing the top ten.
Green, Eliason and Peter Murphy topped heat race action.
